A man in a black-and-white portrait, wearing round glasses

There is a thought. And there is someone who notices it.

Ten short videos. Thirty days of reflection.

A moment of noticing

You’re making tea, and a thought arrives: a worry about tomorrow. For a while you simply follow it, the way you’d follow a stranger down the street. Then, for a moment, something shifts, and you see the thought as a thought. It’s still there, but now there is the thought, and there is you, quietly noticing it.

The question

If I can observe my thoughts, who is observing?

An invitation

There’s nothing to achieve here and nothing to get right. Begin out of curiosity, one short video at a time, and see what you notice.

Inspired by Rumi, Alan Watts, Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein.
